The workspace

The parts of the Flowscope window and what each one does.

The window follows TradingView’s grammar, so you find things where you expect them: a top bar with the symbol and interval, a drawing-tool rail on the left, a watchlist on the right and panes in the middle.

The layout name shows a dot (•) when it has unsaved changes and autosave is off.

Panes

Every pane has a header strip with:

  • a link chip: put panes in link group 1 to 5 and they share the symbol. Changing the market on one changes it on all panes in the group. Charts of a group also share their drawings (a line drawn, moved or removed on one chart is on the others too; Settings › General › Charts › Linked charts share drawings), and, with Linked charts share the interval, their interval. With the crosshair stays in the link group on, the crosshair of a linked chart shows only on the charts of its group.
  • the symbol and, on charts, an interval chip that opens the interval menu for that pane.
  • maximize / restore and close buttons.

Double-click the free space of a header to maximize the pane. Maximizing draws that one pane alone and leaves the rest of the layout untouched, so restoring loses nothing.

Drag the borders between panes to resize them. The pane you last clicked is the active pane; the top bar, symbol search and dialogs act on it.

StatsStats below

Stats

The Stats pane (Add pane → Stats) shows a market at a glance: the price and its 24 h change; for perpetuals and aggregated markets the funding rate, the time to the next funding settlement and open interest in USD; then, over a window of 1 m, 5 m (default), 15 m, 1 h or 4 h (chips at the top), the market buys and sells with their count and value, a bar of the buys’ share of the value with the difference, and the long and short liquidations. On an aggregated market every figure covers all its venues. Like every pane it follows its link group’s market.

Left rail: drawing tools

The tool rail holds the drawing tools in groups, then Measure and Zoom in, then the magnet, stay-in-drawing-mode, lock all, hide all and remove all drawings on this chart. See Drawings.

Right rail and panel

Two icons on the far right open the side panel. Click the open panel’s icon again to close it.

Watchlist and details

The watchlist lists markets with last price and 24-hour change. Click a row to show it on the active pane. + adds a symbol. Right-click a row to remove it, add an alert, or open it in a new pane of any kind: chart, footprint, liquidity heatmap, ladder, depth book, time & sales or Stats.

Columns chooses the optional columns: 24 h change, 24 h volume (USD), funding rate, open interest (USD) and trades per minute (prints over the last minute, a live measure of activity). Click a column head to sort by it. Columns that do not fit leave from the right.

The treemap button shows the watchlist as a treemap instead: each market a tile with its area by 24 h volume and its colour by the 24 h change (brighter the further it moved), the active market outlined. Click a tile to show it; right-click for the same menu as a row.

Below it, the detail card shows the active market: pair, venue and type (spot, perpetual, or aggregated spot + perpetuals), last price, 24-hour change and key statistics:

SpreadBest ask minus best bid

Object tree and data window

  • Object tree lists the active chart’s indicators and drawings. Indicators have show or hide, settings and remove buttons; drawings have show or hide, lock and remove.
  • Data window lists the values under the crosshair: OHLC, volume and every study value.

Phones and narrow windows

Below about 720 points wide (a phone, or a narrow browser window) the terminal switches to a phone layout; wider windows keep the desktop layout. Nothing about your layout changes: widen the window and every pane is where it was.

PartOn a phone
Top barMenu, symbol, interval, chart type and indicators; the ticket, your account and ⋮ (undo, redo, snapshot, chart settings, bar replay, templates, add pane, layouts)
PanesOne at a time; the strip under the top bar lists the layout’s panes, tap one to show it
Tab barChart, Watchlist, Trade (the order ticket), Alerts and More (object tree, script editor, strategy tester, account panel, go to date, settings)
Script editorFull screen; Chart returns to the chart
DialogsNearly full screen; settings wrap their labels, the indicator list puts its sections in a menu

On the chart, drag to pan (a flick keeps gliding), pinch to zoom, drag the price or time axis to stretch it. In the browser the page itself does not zoom, so a pinch always goes to the chart. Added to the home screen, Flowscope opens without the browser bar.

Between about 720 and 1100 points (tablets, small windows) the desktop layout stays; the bottom bar folds its range presets into a Range menu and shortens its labels.

Crosshair

The crosshair time is shared across charts: hovering one chart shows the same moment on the others.

Snapshots

The camera button copies an image of the window to the clipboard. On the desktop it also saves flowscope-<unix seconds>.png in your Pictures folder, or in your home folder if there is none, and tells you where in a toast.
