# T415

> plot method does not match the panel

**Severity** Error

Plots on time-axis panes and panels are fed with `p.plot(value)`, one value per bar. Panels with `axis: axis.category` or `axis: axis.index` are filled with `p.set(key, value)`. The call here uses the method of the other kind.

Use `plot` for time-based panes, and `set` for category or index panels, or move the plot to a panel of the right kind.

## Failing example

script "Close line"
data chart = subscribe(data.ohlcv)
plot c = plot.line(title: "Close")
on chart.close {
  c.set("close", chart.close)
}
```

## Fixed example

```flowscope
script "Close line"
data chart = subscribe(data.ohlcv)
plot c = plot.line(title: "Close")
on chart.close {
  c.plot(chart.close)
}
```
